WALK NOTES

Snelston Village - Clifton Village - Fairways Garden Centre - Ashbourne Golf Club - Ashbourne

This was a short walk on a sunny Easter Day morning. I started from the village of Snelston a few miles away from Ashbourne. From the village I walked across Snelston Park and through fields to the village of Clifton. This is a lovely village with whitewash buildings, an interesting church and a great pub (The Cock Inn). Its in he Cock Inn where Mark and I plan and talk about our walks. I then walked across the A515 to Fairways Garden Centre (which was closed today) and onwards to walk around Clifton Golf Club. The views to Thorpe Cloud, Dovedale and Ashbourne Town are great from here. After a while roaming around the golf club I returned home by Wyaston Road.
